Hi! I’m 13. Just built my own desktop PC (dual core), but now in need of an ultraportable! There are just so many, it’s hard to decide! I need to use it mainly for school and onsite film work, so something under 3 pounds. I would really like a Sony or Fujitsu. Not a tablet, though. I just need it for basic word processing and browsing, no need for Vista. I need just 512 MB RAM, no optical drive, under 3 pounds. My ceiling is $3,000, but $2,000 would be better. Don’t need the newest model! Thanks so much for all of your help! Jamesey

One of my friends started screwing around with my Mac Ibook G4 and now every time i start up or want to install anything new, i need to enter my password.
Specifically: how do I eliminate this from happening? I’ve already tried deleting the password in the System Preferences > Users (it tells me first that anyone could access my computer, and then it tells me my password is too short and i need to set a new one); and i’ve also tried fiddling with the whole automatic login option, to no avail.
I’m not too literate on Mac, as you can plainly see, but i think that i’ve tried just about every option on every menu in the system.
Any ideas?
Mojo_wire: I do not have the system disk, i misplaced it. Thanks anyway.
Anybody else? Whoever gives me something that will work gets the 10 points.
