Does the Apple PowerBook still have worse Wi-Fi reception than the iBook?

I hear that the original Titanium PowerBooks essentially acted as a Faraday cage, reducing Wi-Fi reception noticeably. But I also hear that that problem is mostly gone. Which is it? Thanks.

    I have a 12″ G4 powerbook and get great wi-fi reception.

I had a 12” iBook G3 and now I have a 15” G4 Alum Powerbook, and I notice no difference in the wi-fi reception. Apple changed to the Aluminum from the Titanium to fix the problem.

If you’re looking to buy, I’d wait till Tuesday, that’s when the Intel Macs are rumored to be announced.

    Personal Experience.
