Is Pentium M different from Centrino Mobile technology?
I have seen Centrino sticker on some laptops and Pentium M stickers (IBM) on some.
If same why are they called so?

M is the mobile version of the Pentium.
Centrino is built in wifi functionality.
I use Mac at work, and Windows and Linux at home.

He’s right Centrino is a Pentium-M combined with a WiFi chip but a Pentium M with WiFi is not the same thing. Centrino is a whole chipset to deliver better battery life while using WiFi.
Confusing isn’t it. And that is what exactly Intel wanted. Centrino produces about 20% longer battery life than similarly equipped WiFi Pentium-M laptops.
