is there a site where i can use my computer to make a phone call?

i would like to use my dell laptop to call my fathers house phone is this possible

I don’t think so but you can call his computer and talk to him if you both have Yahoo Instant Messenger with voice.You both must have speakers and a microphone or a headset.It is actually as good as the phone if you have a good headset.I think Google also has instant message with voice and probably others do too.
