Desktop
- if u don’t plan to carry ur computer everywhere u go.. esp. between cities
- if u need serious processing power (image, video, audio processing, gaming)
- if u plan to use the computer for more than 10hrs @ a stretch
Laptop
- if u travel between cities much… like to carry ur computer whenever possible
- if u can adjust with moderate processing… not xtreme gamin, video/image/audio processin in minimum time;
(of course if u pay more (i mean exorbitant rates) u might get an almost desktop-replacement laptop)
- if u r not a heavy computer user… max of 6 hrs per day @ stretch
- want to minimize space occupied by computer, can compromise on monitor size (laptops come to max 17inch i suppose)
- if u r willin to spend THRICE the amount for the same efficieny!!!
Bottomline:
If u r a heavy user of computers… go for a desktop
If u r a light user(& decide to be so @least for the next 5 years)… and u r ready to pay bigger bucks… go for a laptop
