Free Laptop and Notebook Information

The power on my Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop doesn’t work.?

I’m not sure if it’s the battery or the wiring that goes from the power cord into the computer. In any case, when I plug in the Computer the battery won’t go on and when I press the power button the computer won’t go on.

  Sounds like a connection problem…possibly a bad power supply or adaptor on the motherboard. Call Dell and get this notebook serviced.

  Remove the battery and try just ac. I’ve had some laptops stop working because the battery had no charge. If that doesn’t work, get it serviced.
