windows Xp code 10 mass storage device?
i installed an extrnal harddrive to my laptop and i get code 10 when its finished installing
i am running XP with SP2. the USB mass storage device is an external Harddrive plugged into my USB1.0 port.it use to work, when i bought alarger harddrive and plugged it into this it started giving me the error code 10 and a yellow ballon next to the USB Mass storage in my devices

could you be more specific and tell us if you have support for the device ? its a USB HDD so is it USB or Fast USB because it differs and might work if you put fast USB (2.0-2.5) when your computer supports only USB (1-1.1)
