How do i delete a read only file in windows XP?
I have a toshiba notebook hard drive in a USB enclosure. I have right clicked on the files to bring up the properties sheet, and none of the files have the read only box checked. It still wont let me delete any files because it says they are read only.

make sure the file isn’t being used first….try deleting from explorer

Remember, the file ca’t be open at the same time you are trying to delete it!
