Will a wireless router work with a dialup connection in my home.?

I bought a Dell laptop with a internal wireless card in it. Can I use this at home with a router connected to dialup, or through my home pc running dialup? Is a wireless router only good on dsl, cable, or sat connection. Will I be able to pick up a wifi connection at certain airports, libraries, etc? Will the laptop pickup these connection automatically when in these areas. Thank you for the responses.

No, you cannot use a router with dial-up connection (phone cord can’t plug into router, etc.) If you have a wireless adapter in your computer then Yes, you can pick up wifi signals at airports, etc.

i know you can connect computers by dial up networking (one can dial into the other at the cost of a call and it is like a LAN)
but im not sure about wirelessly
    answer above seems pretty accurate
