i have a g3 and when it boots, it shows a shite screen with a folder icon and a question mark, meaning it cant boot the hard drive or the HD isnt connected. i was gona connect the hard drive but i dont know whether it is more convinient to access it from the bottom, by taking off the whole bottom part, or throught teh top, when you take of the keyboard, and then a few other parts.

also does anyone know if the harware test and other cd’s that come with itm i lost the, are they somehow accesable from online

I downloaded Front Row and it sed i needed to restart so i did and now everytime my comp boots up it goes to the Mac OS X loading screen with the little blue bar and the bar goes about 1/10 of the way b4 cutting to a blue screen.

I’m running Windows XP, and have the correct cables to hook the T.V. to the laptop. I can see the Windows logo, on the T.V. as the laptop boots up, but as soon as it goes to my desktop, I no longer have the feed on the T.V. Pressing the function key and F8 doesn’t help. Any ideas?

My friend has got a ibook from someone, and finally got it to cut on wit sumone else’s charger but when it boots up, the Open Firmware screen comes on. I typed ‘mac-boot’ in to boot up the OS but it won’t boot up…

Is the harddrive not booting up or is there not an OS on this ibook or something?

I have a HP Omnibook XE3 notebook. When it boots up I hear 1 long and 2short beeps with no display.?
