Are the new ibook lappots core duo better than the old ones?
Should I buy the new one with the core duo processor, or the older model with the motorola processor.

I want a tablet pc with core 2 duo and over 4.5 hours of battery life for under $2000?

When will a Core 2 e1505 equivalent come out and will it be worth the wait?
I’m looking at the Dell Inspiron e1505 right now and will buy it as soon as it goes on sale with the right specs. However, I’m just wondering when the Merrom (C2D Mobile) parts are actually going to get into Dell laptops. I know that pricing *should* be the same (LaptopLogic article) but I’m wondering what the performance benefit would be at identical speeds.
I’m really wierded out by Dell’s not introducing C2D to anything near mainstream on their desktops so far, even the day after launch (I know, but Systemax already has several C2D units obviously out).
I know that Intel is shipping out Merrom parts to the big manufacturers for their laptops, but will I have to wait forever (when Dell’s Core Duo inventory totally runs dry) to get a midrance laptop with the C2D in it?
I am willing to go with another manufacturer’s laptops but keep in mind that I’m aiming between $700 and $750 for a reasonably equipped laptop with long battery life (I do this with the e1505 by adding an extra 9-cell battery) and with some of the Dell promos I’ve been able to make this price point and have a powerful system.

Did I get a good deal on my new laptop?
I bought a Dell Inspiron e1505 with Intel core duo processor T1050 (2mb/1.6 GHz/533MHz), 100 gb hard drive 5400RPM, 1 gb memory DDR2 533Mhz 2 Dimm, 15.4 inch screen with truelife, cd/dvd burner, windows xp professional, microsoft works, 9-cell lithium ion battery, 2 year warranty, laser printer, lock, flash drive, surge protector, and mouse.
It cost 1400 dollars.
Did I get a good deal? I don’t know much about laptops (or computers in general). Should I have gotten Microsoft Office?
NOTE: I’m going to college in a month, this was close to what my school suggested, a bit better though.

should i get a new apple laptop?
should i get a new apple laptop now or should i wait a couple of months to see if anything new is released…i bought an iBook G4 christmas 2005 and like rite after that the MacBooks came out and then when i was going to buy a MacBook the Core2Duo processers came out! so i dont no if i should wait it out or just go for it.. im not in any rush thoe but anyone have any advice?
