I have a laptop, but can I still use an internal CD-RW/DVD writer?
My laptop is a Dell Windows XP Home Edition. It does not have a DVD player built in so it’s hard to watch movies on my computer. Is a laptop a PC?
How to make my Screen Resolution from 640×480 to 1024×780?
i own a dell inspiron 1150 laptop with window xp home edition. i had just did a reinstallation of windows but my screen resoultion that appears is only 640×480. even though i try to slide the bar to the highest reslotuion the bar will not move and my bit setting will not increase i know that this computer can use a 32bit with 1024×780 because i used that before my reinstallation.
what i do is i go to contral panel and then press appearance and themes than go to Display then push the tab labeled Settings then the problems occurs with the bit and resolution.

My mouse is possesed?
Ive got a spiffy little laptop and its a wonderful thing. Except for the fact that the touchpad is a real pain in the rear end. Sometimes it likes to move on its own and open up a few folders that I dont click on. Sometimes it freezes up and sometimes it goes really slow. Its driving me a bit crazy and I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions as to what it is before I deal with the all knowing Dell tech support. Its an Inspiron 6000 if you must know and its a little over a year old. Help me?
Im doubting it to be viruses because im running a few programs against that crap now. Is there a certain driver for the touchpad that I should update or something?
CounterStrike: Source Help?
I just got a new Dell laptop. Will CS:S run lag-free? This is what my laptop has basically:
Processor : Intel Core Proc Duo T2050(1.60 GHz/533MHz/2 X 1MB L2 Cache)
Memory: 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2DIMM.
Video Card: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950.
Mac vs Windows?
I’m thinking of buying a laptop/notebook. My choices are either (probably) a Dell- ie Windows- or a Mac of some kind. I don’t need this computer to be very fast or to have a great graphics program or anything, all I really need are a word processer and internet access, and I’d like to not spend a whole lot of money. So: what do you think?
