I got a laptop recently and haven’t figured out the best way to work with files on both. Would you please discuss what procedures to follow? I have a wireless network.

How does the laptop access files on the desktop?

What procedures should I follow so that I don’t get the various versions mixed up? Should I move a file to the laptop and delete it from the desktop? Should I copy a file to the laptop and leave the original on the desktop, then when I put it back on the desktop overwrite the original?

If you can point me to a web site that discusses these things, that would be a good response.
P.S. I’m running Windows XP.

We have a Dell desktop and a wireless router. I want to be sure I have access to the internet.

I have over a thousand songs on my desktop and I dont want to have to burn that many cd’s to upload onto my laptop. There has to be a easier way, how do I do it?

i just want to find out how do i connect both my laptop and desktop computer so that both can get on the internet, even at the same time, what do i need to get?
