i am trying to reinstall win on a laptop but i do not have a hardware profile floppy.how can i create one?
the laptop is an older dell with win 98 installed i am either going to try win98se or winxp the laptop is just so bogged down that it needs a fresh install.and my uncle lost his mfg.’s hardware profile disk. and when i tried to install xp it said that it couldnt determine the hardware profile when i rebooted to start the dos installation part. now i need to figure out hoe to create a floppy with his hardware profile. please help!
