okay i have a ibook g3 with os 10 on it and i lost my password. apple wont do anything, what can i do?

I have an iBook g3 800mhz… and I’m having a huge display problem. …. it spazzed out on me, and now is completely blank. i know about the extended warranty mac offered, but it ended 6 months ago. ( my s/n did fall within the range that mac noticed the problems with) So… i’d rather fix this myself instead of buying a new laptop. Does anyone know where any sites i can buy a ibook g3 800mhz logic board for a decent price???… everything i’ve seen has been $250+. or any other repair ideas? thanks everyone!

Is there any way I could install Mac OS X Tiger on DVD on my iBook G3 that only has a CD drive? I know I can send the DVD to Apple to have the software copied on CDs for me, but I don’t have time for that since I am going on vacation soon. I have a Dell laptop in the house that has a DVD drive and I also have a DVD player for the TV. Is there any way I could make use of those for the installation, or do you have any advice for me?

Oh And My Apple Labtop Is Currently Running With Mac Os X 10.3.2 Panther Version. If This is Of any Help

Is there a wireless card, other than the original airport card, that would work with an iBook G3 500 12”? I would prefer a card that could be built-in, rather than an usb. Any ideas?
