Utility to flash NUM lock LED on HardDrive activity?

I have a Compaq TC1000 Tablet pc with no HD Activity light and have found a few utilities that claim to flash the Scroll Lock LED, but alas, I don’t have one of those either!

So I need a way to flash HD activity on the num lock light (do have one of those) or at least a way to swap the functionality of the NUM & Scroll LED’s so I can use the other utilities.

Connecting my laptop?

I have a DELL laptop. I am trying to connect it to my LAN. I recently bought a PCMCIA wireless card for it. I followed the instructions, and it told me that after installing the CD I should put the card into the slot. I put it in, and the little “new hardward found” window did not pop up. Also, the power LED on the card is not lit up. The man at staples said that this card would work with my slot, but it doesn’t seem to be.
