I edit video on my laptop — brief (1 minute) simple programs. I need to export the finished programs to .swf format (Flash). Can anyone recommend a sub-$100 program that will do this? Am I asking the right question? Thanks!

It sort of had this problem last summer but would show a blue screen before shutting itself off…but now no blue screen but just shuts down and then takes a minute or more before we can turn it back on or it will do it again…Any computer guru’s out there?????
I usually have it plugged in to the powercord. Thanks to all who have answered so far!

I will work for a minute, maybe 10, then it won’t connect. I have tried shutting down the firewall, with no luck … so I don’t think this is it. I have two other wireless laptops I use in the same area with NO PROBLEMS. Just this one. The weird thing is it will work for a while first before not working. I have to re-input the WEP code and set up the connection from scratch every time. What could this be?

Every minute or so on my Toshiba Satellite laptop, the hard disk light flickers and this is followed by a 2 or 3 second whooshing sound of the fan coming on and off. It seems to happen even when there is no activity, and it is VERY annoying. I’d like like to purchase a new laptop that does not have this feature. Any suggestions?
