I have a mac mini as a primary computer, and want something I can carry with me on campus

This is an exceptional gadget! The price at which it is promised to be delivered is a mere 35$ (Rs. 1700+). Has 2 Gb RAM, runs on android platform ( which is open source and has massive support for wide scale improvements, addon-developments). I-pad is way too costly as compared to this! and guess what??? it has 2 USB 2.0 ports, wifi, SD card slot, a TV out and what not!! A revolutionary step from INDIAN HRD ministry, in collaboration with IIT and IIST.

The iPad looks promising to me. The way how it’s so thin, light and has long battery life looks awesome. Plus I like the thought of browsing the web, reading e-books and looking at your e-mail is just like holding a magazine with such a smooth and flashy user interface. And it also has iWork which can make and edit documents. It can even use Microsoft Word documents. It can also make presentations and spreadsheets. So it kinda has a laptop’s basic things which is all I need. So should I just wait for it or get a netbook? What do you think?

I personally hate anything mac, but at first glance it looked really cool. I pushed aside my haterid for a minute to actually think of the uses of this – i found nothing that a netbook couldn’t do better. Its generally an oversized iTouch and therefore i see as completely pointless, illogical and a waste of money.
