What makes laptops so hard to work on?
I ask because my cpu gets very hot and I think I need to replace the cpu Thermal Compound. Also my fan is making some weird noise. I have a Presario 722US.

I hear some nosie from it
i want to know that its normal noise or not
My Inspiron B130 Laptop (new) just made a beeping noise 2 seconds ago when i was watching tv. What is this?
I was not doing anything to it.
Its plugged in.
chime noise on dell laptop?
ever so often a chime noise plays on my new dell laptop i do not know what program is causing this sound? if you know please tell me thanks

Are there any laptop computers that do NOT have intermittent fan noise? It is driving me nuts on my Toshiba!?
Every minute or so on my Toshiba Satellite laptop, the hard disk light flickers and this is followed by a 2 or 3 second whooshing sound of the fan coming on and off. It seems to happen even when there is no activity, and it is VERY annoying. I’d like like to purchase a new laptop that does not have this feature. Any suggestions?
