i have a graphire3 tablet that i’ve had for a few years and i just plugged it into my macbook to use with photoshop. for the most part it works, but certain features, like the settings that can be controlled by pen pressure aren’t working. i’m not quite sure what it’s called, but the feature that makes the corners of your tablet match with the corners of your screen so if you pick up your pen and put it back down on the other side of the tablet the cursor follows….that doesn’t work either.
i had no problems with my tablet on a windows pc, but i can’t figure this out. i tried installing drivers on my mac, but it won’t let me. it starts to open the installer in the dock but then it goes away.

if anyone has any advice i’d appreciate it. also, please don’t answer if you’re just going to say you don’t know.

we are about to buy a tablet PC, and we really like the HP tx1210 model, because of the media features and overall quality of the computer. but Im afraid that because the screen is touchscreen it will not be pressure sensitive, which i feel is important when buying a tablet. Ive also heard that we can just buy a Wacom pen and install it on the laptop and it will become pressure sensitive. does anyone know if this is true for sure? does anyone have any other suggestions for tablet PC’s that can help us? thank you very much.
