Do slate-style tablet PCs offer an onscreen keyboard?
I am getting a slate-style tablet PC and have a few questions:
1. Is using a stylus the only option for control or can you use your finger to operate the touch screen?
2. If you can use your fingers on the touch screen, do any tablet PCs offer an onscreen keyboard that can be typed on with your fingers as if you were typing at a normal computer?
I’d be very interested to know brands, models, programs, etc that offer this functionality. I am not interested in the convertable-style (with flipable screen) tablet laptop, it has to be slate-style for what I need it for.

Will you buy HP Slate?
There are some disappointment regarding iPad. Will you buy HP Slate to replace notebook if it is better than iPad?
Wondering about Tablet PCs…?
I’m interested in getting a tablet PC, but I need a little more information. Is a convertible tablet closer to a laptop or a slate? Would you have allow a tablet to completely replace your laptop, or would you recommend having a combination of a slate and a laptop?
I should add that I have a Dell laptop already, but being able to write on the screen is what is appealing to me–that’s why I ask about a tablet replacing a laptop.
