particularly Toshiba Portege 3505

I am not particularly familiar with Linux, but I would like to and I want it on my laptop. But I don’t want the tablet portion of it to be unusuable.

So i got home from school (where i use my laptop during every class) and opened up my laptop (its a Toshiba Tablet pc Portege) to find a tiny spec of somthing that looks like its inside my screen. its hard to explain but from my veiw it looks like its inside the glass but not part of the screen itself. ….like a peice of lent or dust somehow got under my screen ….do u know what this is or how i can get it to goo away!! its fully visable!

what is the no. 1 notebook/laptop brand?which is best among,sony, toshiba,acer,or dell?

For some reason my toshiba satellite tablet pc isn’t functioning properly. the screen only turns on if i hold the screen at about a 40 degree angle, and i don’t know why. what can i do to fix it. i’m almost sure that its an internal problem. Also, i the back of my computer has a part poking the cover and it has split open the coverof my computer cover as if i had dropped it, but i’m pretty sure i didn’t. Will an ordinary computer repair shop be able to repair my computer to working condition?
